Sonnets To Orpheus Limited Edition

You know how I mentioned Erzebet YellowBoy of Papaveria Press in that Wiscon Report? Well, we got to talking a couple of times, with me raving about her treatment of the book as artefact -- like with Catherynne M. Valente's The Descent of Inanna (which I highly recommend (as you'll note if you follow through that link)), or with the series of minatures which Erzebet showed me the first of at Wiscon (yes, that really is a 3D mesh-effect cover; yes, it really does feel as good in the flesh as it looks on screen... better, actually). Actually, we also got to talking about my own Sonnets To Orpheus (see the link to the left for a taste (though the actual text has been slightly reworked since I posted that)). And the upshot is...

Well, it looks like we're doing a limited and numbered edition of 26 copies of that sonnet sequence (24 for sale), library bound with sewn signatures, and tentatively scheduled for an August release. I can't really tell you much about the design other than that, but you only have to look at the gorgeousness of Erzebet's work to know it's going to look and feel fucking great.

Hell, it might even be printed on vellum. ;)
